KAG1.5-50R1J25 is a right-hand lead, 50-tooth, 1-start worm gear with module 1.5, designed for use with matching worm shafts. The gear has a 45 mm bore, 75 mm pitch diameter, 78 mm throat diameter, 79.5 mm outside diameter, 14 mm face width, 10 mm hub width, 24 mm total length, and a center distance of 50 mm. It is made of CAC702 aluminum bronze with no heat treatment, and has an allowable torque of 53.8 N·m at 30 rpm, decreasing to 22.6 N·m at 1800 rpm. Backlash is 0.10 to 0.21 mm, and weight is 0.59 kg. The gear follows KHK W 002 grade 2 precision specifications with standard full-depth teeth and a 20° normal pressure angle.

A worm gear pair, or worm gear set, consists of two gears: the worm, which resembles a spiral screw, and the worm gear (aka, worm wheel).
For the pair to mesh, the worm and worm gear must have the same pressure angles, modules, and lead directions (left- or right-hand).
A worm revolves on a shaft that’s perpendicular to the worm gear and the shaft angle is typically 90°. Because the teeth gradually mesh as the worm rotates, there is low noise and low vibration.
