What it does: Extends the wireless range of the Twin Link by relaying data between the input and output nodes.
The perfect addition to your Twin Link
The Point-to-Point Repeater is the perfect addition to a Twin Link system where the Input and Output nodes are out of range, or a line of sight connection is interrupted by buildings or hilly terrain. It works by retransmitting incoming signals from other nodes in the network, enabling you to boost your range and navigate around obstacles.
Extend the range of your Twin Link by up to 1.5km (0.9mi) line-of-sight (using default antenna)
Get around buildings by positioning Repeaters at corners
Add up to 15 repeaters in a single Point-to-Point system
Simple integration with your existing Twin Link system
See It In Action
In this example, a wireless link is needed between a reservoir and a pump station. The Input Node will measure the incoming 4-20mA signal from the reservoir level sensor, and the Output Node will output 4-20mA to the pump controller, which will switch the pump on and off (thus controlling the water levels in the reservoir).
The reservoir is over a hill, so there is no line of sight between it and the pump station. By placing a Repeater at the top of the hill within line of sight of both the Input and Output nodes, a successful link can easily be made.
Simple Integration Using Mesh IDs
Network connections between P2P nodes are established using a Mesh ID code, which is printed on the product label. Integrating a Repeater into your Twin Link system is as simple as making sure that its Mesh ID code matches the code printed on the pre-paired Input and Output nodes, and then powering the units on.
Setting the Repeater's Mesh ID is simple and takes less than a minute using our ToolBox software and the USB Bridge Key (sold separately). Once the Mesh ID’s are matched, and all units in the system are in range and line of sight, the new node will be automatically included in the network.
