However the low speed setting may be increased and the high speed setting may be decreased in the field to meet specific application requirements. Specifically designed to improve mold placement accuracy, the two-speed die setter low speed electric hoist features ultra low speed hook movement for exact die positioning as well as the standard speed for normal use. The low speed setting may be set to 1.5 feet per minute without sacrificing the normal lift speed of the electric hoist to reduce die impact damage and shock loading conditions The variable speed hoist feature permits fine mold positioning without continuous hoist jogging. Low speed hook travel on David Round’s die setter electric hoist is available in both the up and down directions unlike other creep or step-controlled hoists that may only lower at the low speed setting.
