Data Device Corporation (DDC) 16-Bit R/D Converter Evaluation Board (SDC) RD-19240EX-300

Description
The RD-19240EX-300 evaluation board is used to evaluate DDC's RD-19240 14 bit monolithic tracking resolver to digital converter. The RD-19240 is a small low cost solution for today's motion feedback applications. This single chip converter features programmable resolution of 10,12, or 14 bit with accuracies to 8 min. This converter can be configured to only require a +5vdc power supply for operation. Programmable bandwidth and a velocity output that may used to replace tachometers can be scaled to your application needs. The velocity scale factor / tracking rate is programmed with a single resistor. Includes internal encoder emulation (A quad B) outputs. The internal synthesized reference feature will eliminate errors due to quadrature voltage and ensure operation with a rotor-to-stator phase shift of up to 45 degree's. The RD-19240EX-300 evaluation card, features on board provisions that have been made for various converter configurations and input / output wiring configurations. An RD-19240LS-200 converter is already installed on the card. Basic set-up requires an input A/C source signal and a 5VDC power supply.
