Description
The RD19230EX-300 evaluation board is used to evaluate DDC's RD19230FX 16 bit monolithic tracking resolver to digital converter. The RD19230FX is a small low cost solution for today's motion feedback applications. This single chip converter features programmable resolution of 10,12,14 or 16 bit with accuracies to 1.3 min. This converter can be configured to only require a +5vdc power supply for operation. Programmable bandwidth and a velocity output that may used to replace tachometers can be scaled to your application needs. The velocity scale factor / tracking rate is programmed with a single resistor. Includes internal encoder emulation (A quad B) outputs. The internal synthesized reference feature will eliminate errors due to quadrature voltage and ensure operation with a rotor-to-stator phase shift of up to 45 degree's. The RD19230EX-300 evaluation card, features on board provisions that have been made for various converter configurations and input / output wiring configurations. An RD19230FX-303 converter is already installed on the card. Basic set-up requires an input A/C source signal and a 5VDC power supply.
