Scotch¬Æ High Performance Masking Tape 2693 is a heavy-duty, mini-crepe paper masking tape designed for demanding paint masking applications, particularly in the automotive and transportation industries. It features a synthetic rubber adhesive that provides strong adhesion to steel at 46 oz. per inch of width and a tensile strength of 26 lbs. per inch of width. The tape can withstand temperatures up to 325¬8F (163¬8C) for 30 minutes, making it suitable for high-temperature environments. This tape is engineered for clean removal without adhesive transfer from most surfaces, whether removed warm or cold. It exhibits excellent conformability and tear properties, along with resistance to paint flaking. However, it is not recommended for outdoor use or prolonged exposure to sunlight. Proper storage conditions are advised to maintain performance, with a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture.
