CSA Preface This is the third edition of CAN/CSA-E60384-1, Fixed capacitors for use in electronic equipment - Part 1: Generic specification, which is an adoption, with Canadian deviations, of the identically titled IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) Standard 60384-1 (fourth edition, 2008-07). It supersedes the previous edition published in 2003 as CAN/CSA-E60384-1 (adopted IEC 60384-1:1999). This Standard has been developed in compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements for National Standards of Canada. It has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group. Scope This part of IEC 60384 is a generic specification and is applicable to fixed capacitors for use in electronic equipment. It establishes standard terms, inspection procedures and methods of test for use in sectional and detail specifications of electronic components for quality assessment or any other purpose.
