The MSD7342 series consists of shielded coupled inductors with tight coupling (k ≥ 0.97) and 200 Vrms winding-to-winding isolation, designed for flyback, SEPIC, buck, and Zeta converter applications. The parts are supplied in a surface-mount package with dimensions of 7.5 mm × 4.6 mm × 3.8 mm, and feature a ferrite core with RoHS compliant matte tin over nickel over phosphor bronze terminations. The MSD7342-394MLC variant has an inductance of 390 µH per winding, a DC resistance of 3.05 Ω, a saturation current of 0.45 A at 30% drop, and an RMS current rating of 0.32 A per winding. The series operates from -40°C to +85°C ambient with a maximum part temperature of +125°C, meets AEC-Q200 Grade 3 qualifications, and is rated for reflow soldering up to three times at +260°C. Packaging is available on 7″ or 13″ reels with EIA-481 embossed plastic tape.
