The MSD1278T series consists of shielded coupled inductors designed for high-temperature applications up to 125°C ambient, with a winding-to-winding isolation rating of 500 Vrms and a coupling coefficient of at least 0.98. The parts are available in a surface-mount package measuring 12.3 mm × 12.3 mm × 7.8 mm, with a ferrite core and RoHS-compliant matte tin over nickel over phosphor bronze terminations. The series supports ambient temperatures from -40°C to +125°C and has a maximum part temperature of +165°C. Each inductor can be used as a single device or configured in series or parallel, and is suited for flyback, SEPIC, Zeta, and multi-output buck topologies. The series meets AEC-Q200 qualifications for automotive use. Moisture sensitivity level is MSL 1, and the parts are packaged on 13-inch reels with 500 units per reel.
