CODESYS SoftMotion Axes (256) is a software license that extends CODESYS Control SL systems to support motion control with up to 256 real axes and 256 virtual axes. It provides certified IEC 61131-3 function blocks for positioning, velocity control, homing, electronic gearing, and cam synchronization, along with visualization templates and a cam editor supporting line, polynomial, and sine segment types. The license requires CODESYS Development System V3.5.19.10 or higher and CODESYS Control Runtime V3.5.19.0 or higher, and operates on real-time capable platforms with a floating-point unit. It supports EtherCAT, CAN/CANopen, and virtual drives, and is activated via a software-based license container or a CODESYS Key USB dongle. Support must be acquired separately through a CODESYS Support Ticket.
CODESYS SoftMotion Axes extends the functional range of CODESYS Control SL systems from pure logic to motion control with optional support for CNC and robotics. This license is application-based and requires at least the application-based license CODESYS Control Standard S for the PLC. With this license, up to 256 real axes, and additionally 256 virtual axes, can be controlled. The CODESYS SoftMotion package can be downloaded with the CODESYS Installer.
