The CMX638L4 is a full-duplex vocoder that utilizes the RALCWI (Robust Advanced Low Complexity Waveform Interpolation) coding algorithm to deliver near toll-quality voice at low bit rates. It supports multiple bit rates, including 2400 bps, 2750 bps, and 3600 bps with Forward Error Correction (FEC) enabled. The device integrates a voice CODEC and input/output channel filters, reducing the need for external components. Operating on dual power supplies of 1.8V and 3.3V, the CMX638L4 is packaged in a compact 48-pin LQFP format. It features advanced functionalities such as Soft Decision Decoding, Voice Activity Detection, and Comfort Noise Generation, enhancing its performance in various applications. The vocoder is suitable for digital PMR, LMR, voice radio, digital trunking, and VoIP systems, among others. Additionally, it allows for the download of new features via Function Images,Ñ¢, providing flexibility for future enhancements.
