Champlain Cable 23-00033 EXRAD¬Æ Can-Bus Cable is a shielded cable designed for high-speed network communication in automotive applications, compliant with SAE J1939-11 standards. It features a 20 AWG conductor with a nominal outer diameter of 0.035 inches (0.89 mm) and a dielectric outer diameter of 0.106 inches (2.69 mm). The cable operates at a voltage of 60VDC and is rated for temperatures ranging from -55¬8C to 125¬8C. The EXRAD¬Æ jacket material enhances durability and performance, while the shielding protects against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI). Selected shielded constructions are FlexRay compatible @10 MHz and have been tested to meet 100 MHz. The CAN-Bus cables are designed with materials that meet or exceed TXL requirements and the impedance, return loss and attenuation requirements of the network system. The shielding reduces the harmful effect of EMI or RFI interference. The combination of controlled impedance and shielding can reduce or eliminate data transfer issues.
