Ambient Light Sensor (ALS)
Capella's Ambient Light Sensor (ALS) is an integrated light sensing solution. It incorporates a photodiode, amplifiers and analog/digital circuits into a single chip by a CMOS process. Adoption of Capella’s patented Filtron™ technology allows the closest ambient light spectral sensitivity to human eye responses. The ALS offers excellent temperature compensation keeping the output stable over temperature. The robust refresh rate setting does not require an external RC low pass filter. It provides various output interface solutions with linear response over the entire lux range and high sensitivity in low light conditions and under dark glass.
