The Avago Technologies digital APDS-9309 is an ambient light sensor with an I2C interface. The photo sensor converts light intensity to a digital signal output. The sensor operates two photodiodes, ADC and the ambient light levels are near to the human eye response. The light sensor is ideal in applications including a range of lighting conditions. They can be used for display backlight control, mobile and computer devices, signs and signal and lighting management. Digital output: 16 Bit. I2C interface compatible with dedicated interrupt pin. I2C Fast-Mode at 400 kHz. Dual diode architecture to approximate the human eye response. 50/60 Hz Lighting Ripple Rejection. Low 2.5 V Input Voltage and 1.8 V Digital Output. Low Active Power (0.6 mW Typical) with Power Down Mode. RoHS Compliant.
