NXP Semiconductors Specialized ICs PBSS4440D115

The PBSS4440D is a 40 V NPN low V_{CEsat} (BISS) transistor designed for small signal applications. It comes in a SOT457 (SC-74) surface-mounted plastic package and features an ultra-low collector-emitter saturation voltage, making it suitable for high-efficiency applications. The transistor can handle a continuous collector current of up to 4 A and a peak current of 15 A, with a very low collector-emitter saturation resistance of 55 to 75 mOc at 6 A. Typical applications include power management functions, charging circuits, DC-to-DC conversion, MOSFET gate driving, and power switches for motors and fans. The device is also applicable in thin film transistor (TFT) backlight inverters.
