The GMBT208 is an Outdoor Tactical tight buffered breakout cable featuring a Polyurethane (PUR) outer jacket and designed with 8 fibers of multimode OM2. This cable is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, specifically engineered for repeated de-spooling and re-spooling, making it ideal for mobile setups. It supports various computer network applications, including FDDI, Gigabit Ethernet, and ATM, although it is not recommended for direct burial. The cable has a minimum bend radius of 200 mm for short-term installation and 100 mm for long-term operation. It can withstand a maximum tensile strength of 770 N during installation and has a crush resistance of 5 kN/m for short-term use. The operating temperature range is from -30 ¬8C to +70 ¬8C, with an installation temperature range of -5 ¬8C to +50 ¬8C. The cable is water-blocked with aramid yarns and tape, ensuring durability in various environmental conditions. Optical characteristics include a maximum attenuation of 2.9 dB/km at 850 nm and 0.9 dB/km at 1300 nm. The cable is compliant with relevant standards, including IEC 60794 and ISO/IEC 11801-1, and offers UV/sunlight protection.
