It is designed as a duplex zipcord and complies with the G.657.B3 standard for single-mode optical fiber (OS2). The patchcord is suitable for flexible terminating leads, including pigtails, patchcords, and test leads, and supports various computer network applications such as FDDI, Gigabit Ethernet, and ATM, specifically for short-distance indoor use. This patchcord has a maximum attenuation of 0.40 dB/km at 1310 nm and 0.30 dB/km at both 1550 nm and 1625 nm. It is constructed with a tight buffered fiber type and has a buffer diameter of 0.9 mm.
