The GIMTA04 is an indoor tight buffered optical fiber distribution cable featuring a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) outer jacket. It contains four single-mode fibers compliant with ITU-T standards G.652.D and G.657.A1, classified under CPR Euroclass Dca. This cable is designed for indoor applications within structured wiring systems, suitable for building backbone and horizontal cabling, including Fiber To The Desk installations. The cable has a nominal diameter of 4.8 mm and is constructed with aramid yarns for strength. It supports various computer network applications, including FDDI, Gigabit Ethernet, and ATM. The maximum attenuation rates are 0.40 dB/km at 1310 nm and 0.30 dB/km at both 1550 nm and 1625 nm. The cable is not water-tight and is not suitable for blown installation. Operating and installation temperatures range from -5 ¬8C to +40 ¬8C. The cable meets several international standards, including IEC 60332 for flammability and is compliant with RoHS directives.
