The GBCFF16 is an outdoor optical fiber cable designed for various structured wiring applications, including industrial and telecom networks. It features a multi loose tube construction with 12 tubes, each having a diameter of 2.5mm, and accommodates a total of 216 fibers (9 tubes with 24 fibers each) compliant with the SM OS2 G.657.A2 standard. The cable is reinforced with glass yarns as a strength member and is protected by a corrugated steel tape armor, providing enhanced rodent protection. This cable is suitable for direct burial and can be installed in ducts, tunnels, and trenches. It has a water-tight core, utilizing waterblocking glass yarns and tape to prevent moisture ingress. The outer jacket is made of black polyethylene, with a nominal diameter of 18.5 mm and includes a ripcord for ease of installation. Optical performance is characterized by a maximum attenuation of 0.30 dB/km at both 1550 nm and 1625 nm wavelengths. The cable can withstand a temperature range of -30 ¬8C to +70 ¬8C for operation and -5 ¬8C to +50 ¬8C during installation. It meets various standards, including IEC 60794 and ISO/IEC 11801-1, and is compliant with RoHS regulations.
