The FS2H024NG is an Outdoor Heavy Duty Loose Tube fiber optic cable featuring 24 OM2 fibers, designed for outdoor and campus area network applications. Each fiber has a core diameter of 50/125 ¬µm and a total fiber diameter of 250 ¬µm. The cable consists of two active subunits, each containing 12 fibers, and is gel-filled for waterblocking. The cable construction includes a central strength member made of glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) and is protected by a polyethylene (PE) outer jacket, which has a nominal diameter of 0.505 inches (12.8 mm). It is equipped with waterblocking aramid yarns for added strength and durability. The cable is rated for a maximum tensile strength of 2670 N during installation and 800 N during operation, with a crush resistance of 220 N/cm. Optical performance includes a maximum attenuation of 3.0 dB/km at 850 nm and 1.0 dB/km at 1300 nm, supporting 1 Gigabit Ethernet up to 600 meters and 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to 82 meters. The cable can operate in temperatures ranging from -40¬8C to +70¬8C and is suitable for burial applications.
