The FDSR072R5 is an Indoor/Outdoor OFNR OS2 Flexible Ribbon cable featuring 72 fibers organized into three active subunits, each containing 24 fibers. The cable is designed for applications in data centers, radio access networks (RAN), and both horizontal and premise backbones. It has a fiber core diameter of 8.2/125Oºm and adheres to TIA-598-D color coding standards. The cable construction includes a central strength member made of glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) and is protected by a black PVC outer jacket. The nominal diameter of the cable is 0.40 inches (10.2 mm), and it incorporates waterblocking aramid yarns for enhanced durability. The cable can withstand a maximum tensile strength of 1320 N (300 lbf) during installation and 400 N (90 lbf) during operation, with a crush resistance of 220 N/cm. Optical performance is rated with a maximum attenuation of 0.50 dB/km at wavelengths of 850 nm, 1310 nm, and 1550 nm. The cable supports 1 Gigabit Ethernet performance up to 5,000 meters and 10 Gigabit Ethernet performance up to 10,000 meters.
