Mechanical temperature displays still remain today a favorite solution for measuring temperatures right next to the process. They work reliably even if the system loses electrical power and allow a quick check on the process. Baumer supplies mechanical temperature measurement instruments filled with gas, suitable for use up to 800°C or with bi-metal strip technology for use up to 600°C. Gas-filled thermometers are suitable for direct mounting or may be used with capillaries up to 15 m long.
Bimetallic technology thermometers are available with transducers which can be positioned vertically, horizontally or at any other angle, with a maximum transducer length of 1,000 mm. Thanks to their robust stainless steel finish, the instruments are equally suited for areas subject to hygiene regulations, or in tough conditions such as, for example, applications which use salt water in demanding sectors such as oil, gas and petrochemicals.
