The 9086-10B is a sealed Redox electrode with a glass body, platinum band, an internal double junction, and a non fouling peripheric annular reference junction. The Redox electrode uses a polymerised salt bridge designed for use in temperatures up to 100ºC.
A double junction Redox electrode like the 9086-10B offers the advantage of being resistant to Redox electrode poisoning in organic compounds. Occasionally some compounds can absorbed into the Redox electrode and react with the silver silver chloride reference. The double junction 9086-10B Redox electrode has an internal junction, secondary non fouling reference and utilises two compatible but separate polymerised references which makes the Redox electrode resistant to electrode poisoning.
While being resistant to electrode poisoning the 9086-10B offers accurate mV readings across the 0 ± 2000mV range using the platinum reference band, which also ensures a rapid response time.
The 9086-10B is designed to be compatible with our range of RES inline redox electrode holders as well as our full range of Redox controllers.
Normally our 9086-10B is used in laboratory processes for aggressive oxidising or reducing reactions or if an existing Redox electrode in a process is having to be changed on a frequent basis.
