1.1 The three test methods provide the means to measure the thermal conductivity in the range 0.05?W/(m\u00b7K) to 500?W/(m\u00b7K) and thermal diffusivity in the range 0.1?mm2/s to 100?mm2/s of homogeneous isotropic and anisotropic solid materials with a uniaxial structure over the approximate temperature range 200 K to 600 K. 1.1.1 Test Method A\u2014Determination of the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of isotropic solid bulk specimen. 1.1.2 Test Method B\u2014Determination of the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of anisotropic solid bulk specimen with a uniaxial structure. 1.1.3 Test Method C\u2014Determination of the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of isotropic thin solid slab specimen. This test method is particularly suited to study materials with thermal conductivity higher than 5 W/(m\u00b7K), and the thermal conductivity shall not be lower than 1?W/(m\u00b7K). 1.2 Units\u2014The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard. 1.3 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
