ASTM International Standard Test Method for Determining Specific Heat Capacity by Sinusoidal Modulated Temperature Differential Scanning Calorimetry ASTM E2716-09

Description
1.1 This test method describes the determination of specific heat capacity by sinusoidal modulated temperature differential scanning calorimetry. For the determination of specific heat capacity by a step-isothermal or multiple step-isothermal temperature program, the reader is referred to Test Method E1269. 1.2 This test method is generally applicable to thermally stable solids and liquids. 1.3 The normal operating range of the test is from -100 to 600 °C. The temperature range may be extended depending upon the instrumentation and specimen holders used. 1.4 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard. 1.5 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
