1.1 This test method covers the determination of the gas content of electrical insulating oils of low and medium viscosities in the general range of 100 SUS and below at 100°F (37.8°C), and is suitable for field or laboratory use. Note 1-For testing insulating oils with viscosities above 100 SUS, see Test Method D831. For individual gas concentrations, see Method D3612. 1.2 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety problems, if any, associated with its use.
