ASTM International Standard Specification for Copper and Copper-Alloy Seamless Condenser Tubes and Ferrule Stock ASTM B111-98e1

1.1 This specification covers seamless tube and ferrule stock of copper and various copper alloys up to 3 1/8in, inclusive, in diameter, for use in surface condensers, evaporators, and heat exchangers. Tubes for this application are normally made from the following coppers or copper alloys: ADesignations listed in Classification B 224. Note 1--A complete metric companion to Specification B111has been developed -- B111M; therefore no metric equivalents are presented in this specification. Note 2--Warning-- Mercury is a definite health hazard in use and disposal.
