This specification covers single-reduced black plate produced from low carbon, cold-reduced steel, furnished in coils and cut sizes, for use in the manufacture of containers, closures, signs, toys and other products, as well as for plating applications. The black plates shall be produced with ground roll and shot-blasted roll finishes and shall be furnished oiled or dry.
