ASME PSD-1: Plant Systems Design provides requirements and guidance for the design of plant systems in facilities with the potential for significant hazards to workers, public safety, and the environment. This technology-neutral standard integrates systems engineering, risk evaluation, and probabilistic design practices into traditional plant engineering processes to support safer, more efficient, and more reliable plant design.
PSD-1 is intended for the design of new first-of-a-kind plants incorporating new technologies, as well as new or modified processes and capabilities being added to existing plants.
