Sartomer USA, LLC Crosslinking Coagents

Description
Peroxide curing of elastomers is an alternative to sulfur vulcanization that offers superior heat-aged performance. Curing with peroxide alone, however, is inferior to sulfur vulcanization in areas such as wear resistance and dynamic properties. The addition of crosslinking coagents with the peroxide overcomes these deficiencies, while maintaining the improvement in heat-aged performance. Using the appropriate coagent, improvements in final properties, including dynamic flexibility, tear resistance, and tensile strength, can be realized. A wide range of coagents is available, and proper selection of coagent is critical to optimum performance. Saret coagents are available as proprietary mixtures with radical-scavenging retarders that provide prolonged scorch safety, while maintaining cure rate and increasing crosslink density. The Saret® liquid coagents/peroxide cure system offers performance property improvement over sulfur-cured and peroxide-only cured systems. by attribute Non-nitroso Scorch Retarding Monomers Scorch Retarding Monomers Specialty Coagents
