The 48-3571-10 is a Zero-Insertion-Force (ZIF) DIP test socket designed for quick and efficient device insertion and removal. It accommodates devices with pin centers ranging from 0.300 to 0.600 inches and supports various pin counts. The socket features a quick-release handle that swings down to open contacts for device insertion, automatically returning to a closed position once the device is in place. The handle can be mounted on either the right or left side, providing flexibility in design. Constructed from black UL 94V-0 glass-filled polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) for standard applications, or natural color polyetheretherketone (PEEK) for high-temperature environments, the socket is durable and suitable for a wide range of operating conditions. It has a contact current rating of 1 amp, with an insulation resistance of at least 1000 MOc and a dielectric withstand voltage of 1000 VAC. The socket is rated for a life cycle of 25,000 to 50,000 cycles and can operate in temperatures from -85¬8F to 221¬8F for standard plating, with higher limits for other plating options. The socket accepts leads measuring between 0.015 to 0.035 inches wide and 0.110 to 0.280 inches long, making it versatile for various applications. It is compatible with test socket receptacle XX-6556-XX and can be soldered into PCBs or plugged into any socket. Customization options are available for specific requirements.
