Constructed from black UL 94V-0 glass-filled Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) for the body and stainless steel for the handle, the socket is built for durability. It utilizes BeCu or Spinodal Alloy for contacts, with multiple plating options available, including nickel, tin, and gold. The contact current rating is 1 amp, with an insulation resistance of at least 1000 MOc and a dielectric withstand voltage of 1000 VAC. The operating temperature range is from -85¬8F to 221¬8F, depending on the plating type. The socket is rated for a life cycle of 25,000 to 50,000 cycles and has a retention force of 55g per pin.
