The 14-C280-11 is a 14-position DIP socket designed for integrated circuits and transistors, featuring a rugged, solderable construction with a unique ejector/latch mechanism for efficient in-field maintenance. This socket is suitable for high-vibration environments, as the latch securely locks the connector or device in place while allowing for damage-free removal of DIP packages. Constructed from black UL-94V-0 glass-filled nylon, the socket's pin body is made of brass with various plating options available, including gold and tin/lead. It has a contact current rating of 3 amps and offers excellent insulation resistance of 10,000 MOc at 500VDC, withstanding voltages up to 1000Vrms. The operating temperature range is from -67¬8F to 221¬8F for tin plating and up to 257¬8F for gold plating.
