The Amphenol ¬µCom-10Gb+ Ethernet plug connector is designed for high-speed applications, supporting data rates exceeding 10Gb/s in accordance with IEEE 802.3an-2006 standards. It features a compact design with a maximum external diameter of 15 mm and is built to withstand harsh environmental conditions, meeting MIL-DTL-38999 series III military specifications. This connector includes four pairs of insulated conductors to minimize cross-talk and employs a thread coupling mechanism that allows for 2000 mating cycles and high vibration resistance. The machined brass shells are RoHS compliant and provide shell-to-shell continuity with a salt spray resistance of 500 hours. It is rated for IP68 sealing when mated and unmated, ensuring protection against dust and water ingress. The connector supports solder and crimp contacts, accommodating wire sizes from AWG 24 to 26. It operates effectively within a temperature range of -55¬8C to +125¬8C and has a dielectric withstanding voltage of 1500 Vrms. The connector is suitable for various applications, including defense, aeronautical, and rail mass transit systems.
