The AOZ3015AI is a synchronous buck regulator designed for high efficiency and ease of use, capable of delivering up to 3 A of continuous output current. It operates within an input voltage range of 4.5 V to 18 V and allows for an adjustable output voltage down to 0.8 V. The device features a 65 m,Ѷ internal high-side switch and a 30 m,Ѷ internal low-side switch, achieving efficiencies of up to 95%. This regulator includes several protective features such as cycle-by-cycle current limit, short-circuit protection, and thermal shutdown. It operates at a switching frequency of 500 kHz and incorporates an internal soft start mechanism. The AOZ3015AI is housed in a compact SO-8 package and is rated for operation in ambient temperatures from -40 °C to +85 °C. Typical applications include point of load DC/DC converters, LCD TVs, set-top boxes, and DVD/Blu-ray players. However, it is noted that this part is not recommended for new designs.
