The AOZ1022DI is a synchronous buck regulator designed for high efficiency, capable of delivering up to 3A of continuous output current. It operates within an input voltage range of 4.5V to 16V and features an adjustable output voltage down to 0.8V. The device incorporates synchronous rectification with a 100m,Ѷ internal high-side switch and a 20m,Ѷ internal low-side switch, achieving efficiencies of up to 95%. The regulator includes several protective features such as cycle-by-cycle current limit, short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown, and an internal soft start mechanism. It operates at a fixed PWM frequency of 500kHz and has an active high power good state indicator. The AOZ1022DI is available in a compact DFN 5x4 package and an EPAD SO-8 package, both rated for ambient temperatures from -40°C to +85°C. Typical applications include point of load DC-DC conversion for devices such as PCIe graphics cards, set-top boxes, DVD drives, LCD panels, and telecom/networking equipment.
