The AOZ1021AI is a synchronous buck regulator designed for high efficiency, capable of delivering up to 3A of continuous output current. It operates within an input voltage range of 4.5V to 16V and features an adjustable output voltage down to 0.8V. The device is housed in a compact SO-8 package and is rated for operation in ambient temperatures from -40¬8C to +85¬8C. Key features include synchronous rectification with a 100m,Ѷ internal high-side switch and a 20m,Ѷ low-side switch, achieving efficiencies of up to 95%. The regulator incorporates internal soft start, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, pre-bias startup capability, short-circuit protection, and thermal shutdown. It operates at a fixed PWM frequency of 500kHz, making it suitable for various applications such as point of load DC/DC conversion, PCIe graphics cards, set-top boxes, and telecom equipment. The AOZ1021AI is compliant with RoHS standards and is available in a green product variant, which uses reduced levels of halogens.
