Rat Taste Receptor 1 (TR1) Control/blocking peptide #1
General Information
three novel taste receptors, TR1, TR2 and TR3 have been cloned with distinct topographical distribution in taste receptor cells and taste buds. TR1 (rat 840 aa), TR2 (rat 843 aa) and TR3 (rat 858 aa) share ~20% homology with each other, and ~30% with CaSR
SugApplications
Control or blocking peptides are recommended for ELISA plate coating for direct ELISA testing of antibodies or competitive ELISA, and antibody blocking or neutralization.
SpeciesReactivity
Rat
Form
Antigen/blocking Peptide
Antigen
24-aa peptide of Rat TR1 Designated (TR11-P or control peptide) conjugated to KLH epitope location ~ C-terminus
SpCrossreactivity
The 24 AA rat TR11-P control peptide is 100%specific for mouse and 87% conserved in human TR1. It has no significant sequence homology with TR2 or gustducin or pheromone receptors. Antibody cross-reactivity in various species has not been studied
