Anti-Rat Thyroid Iodide Transporter (TIT) antiserum
General Information
Iodide (I-) is an essential constituent of thyroid hormones. Thyroid epithelial cells for the biosynthesis of thyroid hormones actively transport it. At the cellular level, Iodide transport is mediated by intrinsic membrane Na+/I+ symporter (NIS/TIT).
SugApplications
Most Antibodies are tested by ELISA and Western. Additional applications, such as IHC or IP may have been tested and will be listed in the product data sheets or published research papers using our products. Typically, antibodies are tested against the

Antigen
16-aa peptide from rat TIT (1); Designation (TIT11-P or control peptide/blocking peptide) conjugated to KLH; Epitope location~ C-terminal, Cytoplasmic domain
SpCrossreactivity
The 16-aa rat TIT11-P peptide sequence is unique to TIT and no significant sequence is seen with glucose transporter or other Na+-dependent transporters. TIT11-P sequence is 100% conserved in mouse, and only 25% in human TIT. Antibody cross-reactivity in various species has not been studied
