Human Presenilin 1 (PS-1) Control/blocking peptide #1
General Information
An early onset of FAD has also been linked to some 30 mutations in two related genes, Presenilins-1 (PS-1 on chromosome 14; 467 aa) and Presenilins-2 (PS-2 on chromosome 1; 448 aa). Presenilins may contain 7-9 transmembrane domains. Presenilins are member
SugApplications
Control or blocking peptides are recommended for ELISA plate coating for direct ELISA testing of antibodies or competitive ELISA, and antibody blocking or neutralization.
SpeciesReactivity
Human
Form
Antigen/blocking Peptide
Antigen
15-aa peptide of Human/Mouse PS1 ; Designated (PS11-P or control peptide) Epitope location~ C-terminal, Cytoplasmic domain
SpCrossreactivity
The immunogenic peptide sequences from Presenilin-1, PS11-P shows 100% homology to human, monkey, Xenopus, mouse and rat, 85% in bovine Presenilin-1. There is no significant homology with other known proteins. The Presenilin-1 antibody cross-reactivity in other species is not known
