Mouse Lipin-1 Control/blocking peptide control/blocking peptide #1
General Information
Lipin-1: The human and mouse LPIN-1 genes have been mapped at chromosomes 2p21 and 12, respectively. A region (POMC) on this same chromosome also encodes pro-opiomelanocortin
SugApplications
Control or blocking peptides are recommended for ELISA plate coating for direct ELISA testing of antibodies or competitive ELISA, and antibody blocking or neutralization.
SpeciesReactivity
Mouse
Form
Antigen/blocking Peptide
Antigen
16-aa peptide of Mouse Lipin-1 (1); Designated (LPN11-P or control peptide/blocking peptide) conjugated to KLH; epitope location ~ within N-terminus
SpCrossreactivity
Mouse LPN11-P peptide is 93% conserved in rat, 81% in human and Chimp, and 75% in chicken Lipin-1 proteins. The epitope of LPN11-P is around 120-aa region that is well before the truncation site for isoforms-1. Theretofore, LPN11-P epitope is present in both isoforms-1 and 2. No significant sequence homology of LPN11-P is seen with Lipin-2, Lipin-3 or other proteins. Antibody reactivity in various species is not known.
