Human/Mouse K-Cl Cotransporter 3 (KCC3-a) Control/blocking peptide #2
General Information
The K-Cl cotransporters mediate the coupled movement of K+ and Cl- ions across the cell membranes. This transport process is involved in the regulatory volume decrease in response to cell swelling in red cells and vectorial movement of Cl- ions across th
SugApplications
Control or blocking peptides are recommended for ELISA plate coating for direct ELISA testing of antibodies or competitive ELISA, and antibody blocking or neutralization.
SpeciesReactivity
Human/Mouse
Form
Antigen/blocking Peptide
Antigen
17-aa peptide of Human KCC3; (Gene Accession #Q924N4) Designated (KCC32-P or control peptide or blocking peptide) conjugated to KLH; Epitope location~ C-terminal, Cytoplasmic domain
SpCrossreactivity
Human KCC32-P antigenic peptide is conserved 100% mouse and monkey KCC3, and 82% in frog. It is found in both alternatively spliced forms of the human KCC3 (1099 aa) and KCC3a (1150 aa) (refs 1). We have raised another antibody (cat # KCC31-S) using the N-terminal peptide sequence that is found in the short form of hKCC3 (1099aa). KCC32-P has no significant sequence homology with other KCCs or CCC. Antibody crossreactivity in various species is not established
