T-A® Flat Bottom Drill Inserts are made of either Super Cobalt or Carbide substrates as follows: Series Y through 2.5 are available in Super Cobalt and Carbide, while series 3 & 4, offered in range:1.353" (34,36mm) to 2.570" (65,28mm), are only available in Super Cobalt. The Super Cobalt base material offers a good combination of wear resistance and toughness.
