Alfa Laval SB Carlsberg Flask is used for sterilizing wort and propagating pure yeast culture for yeast propagation plants in laboratory scale. Safe, reliable yeast propagation Developed specifically for aseptic yeast management in the brewery, the Alfa Laval SB Carlsberg Flask sterilizes wort and cultivates pure yeast cultures on a laboratory scale for use in yeast propagation plants in the brewery, dairy, food and beverage industries. The flask can be used as an integral part of an Alfa Laval SCANDI BREW® solution. Hygienic design To maintain a sterile environment for safe yeast cultivation, the flask is made of materials that meet stringent sanitary requirements. The design of the flask enables an easy introduction into an autoclave. Recommended sterile air supply during inoculation into yeast propagation plant is 2 bar and must not exceed 5 bar (72.5 psi) at any time. During transfer of pure yeast culture from the Alfa Laval SB Carlsberg Flask to the yeast propagation plant, it is important that all hose tails are fastened strongly and safely with hose clips. After use, the flask is taken apart and cleaned manually with normal detergents.
