The AK4420ET is a 24-bit stereo digital-to-analog converter (DAC) designed for audio applications, featuring a sampling rate of up to 192kHz. It includes an integrated 2Vrms output buffer, which utilizes a charge pump to create a negative power supply rail, allowing for ground-referenced output. The device employs AKM's multi-bit modulator architecture, enhancing dynamic range and total harmonic distortion plus noise (THD+N) performance, with a THD+N rating of -92dB and a dynamic range of 105dB. This DAC supports various oversampling rates, including 128 times in normal speed mode, 64 times in double speed mode, and 32 times in quad speed mode. It features a 24-bit FIR digital filter and is equipped with switched-capacitor and continuous-time filters, which improve performance in systems with high clock jitter. The AK4420ET operates within a power supply range of 4.5V to 5.5V and is available in a compact 16-pin TSSOP package, making it suitable for space-constrained designs.
