Color Temperature describes the appearance, atmosphere, ambiance, or mood created by the light. It is usually desirable to maintain a consistent color temperature throughout a space. The Color Temperature is measured in Kelvins (K). Standard light sources range from 2700K (incandescent) to 6500K (daylight).
Color Rendering Index (CRI) is the ability of a light source to produce natural colors in objects. CRI is measured on a scale from 0 100 where 100 is best. The higher the CRI the more natural people and objects will appear when lighted. Incandescent and Halogen bulbs as well as natural daylight háve a 100 CRI.
Fluorescent BulbsThe size and shape of a fluorescent bulb Is designated by a letter or letters, indicating tne shape, followed by a number, indicating the diameter of the bulb in eighths of an inch.
