The Snap SIP Adapter Series from Advanced Interconnections Corp. features three body types: Peel-A-Way¬Æ Removable Terminal Carriers, molded Solid Strips, and molded Snap Strips, which can be broken at .100" (2.54mm) increments. These adapters are designed for board-to-board applications and offer flexibility in inventory management. The Peel-A-Way¬Æ option allows for easy removal to inspect solder joints on both sides of the PCB or can remain in place for added stability. The terminals are made from brass (C36000) and are available with various plating options, including gold over nickel, matte tin over nickel, and tin/lead over nickel, all compliant with relevant industry standards. The molded Snap Strips are constructed from glass-filled thermoplastic (PPS) with a temperature range of -60¬8C to 220¬8C, while the molded Solid Strips are made from high-temperature liquid crystal polymer (LCP) with a range of -40¬8C to 260¬8C. Custom designs are also available, making this series versatile for different engineering needs.
