High Ion-Exchange (HIE™) aluminosilicate glass is a strong, lightweight, colorless and flexible glass that achieves high levels of damage resistance for scratch, break, impact and shock combined with good optical clarity. It is an excellent choice for use as protective enhancement glass for display, imaging and sensor systems where low profiles, low weight, portability and environmental robustness is desired. Abrisa Technologies offers in house custom fabrication to shape the specially designed materials followed by the unique High Ion Exchange (HIE) salt bath chemical strengthening processes to achieve very high surface compressive strength and depth of layer. Total Solution Enhancements with easy-to-clean oleo/hydrophobic optical coatings, ceramic frit graphics and bus bars are also available.
