Shrink-Kon is silicon based self fusing tape. It forms a flexible dielectric layer that protects connections against moisture, humidity, and corrosion with just two layers. This tape eliminates the need for expensive heat guns or messy adhesives. It is resistant to UV radiation, arc track, ozone, steam, moisture, and saltwater.
Shrink-Kon tape stands out from the competition with high tensile strength (enabling the first layer of the tape to be stretched to form a solid, compressed, watertight seal) as well as high dielectric strength and abrasion resistance. The tape also offers a wide temperature range for both operation and storage. It can be tossed safely into a toolbox or the back of van and used even in extreme environments indoors or out.
This tape creates an immediate, permanent bond even when wet without a waiting period. It is easy to remove (just slice with a knife and pull off) and leaves no residue. The TBFT201-36 tape is black in color, (20 mils) thick, (1 in.) width, and (36 ft.) length.
