Boswellic acid derivative, which shows anti-tumor and anti-inflammatory activities. Potent non-redox, non-competitive 5-lipoxygenase and topoisomerase I and IIa inhibitor leading to apoptosis. Mobilizes intracellular Ca2+ and potently inhibits the MAP kinases p38 and p44/42. 10-100 times more potent than natural boswellic acid.
